HII AGENDA

The institute exists to advance humanity. This is done in a number of different ways. The work we do on our themes and domains with partners will naturally evolve our focus and expansion. You’ll see our agenda show up in many ways with the intention of an agenda to help all orientate to the work. We invite you in helping shape this.

The Frontier of Human Advancement Agenda

Theme 1: HII Agenda for Human–Technology Integration 

HII will advance a new model of human agency in technological environments for The Great Transition. HII will help people use technology to amplify capability and contribution without surrendering judgment, autonomy, attention, creativity, or self-authorship. 

Theme 2: HII Agenda for Advancing Human Capability 

HII will advance a new model of human capability development. HII will help people intentionally develop the mindsets, behaviors, and internal operating systems required for emerging realities while shedding patterns and conditioning that no longer fit a changing world. 

Theme 3: HII Agenda for Transforming Human Contribution 

HII will advance a new model of human contribution. HII will help people become self-directed value creators, adaptive contributors, and collaborative builders capable of creating meaningful value beyond inherited career paths and work identities. 

Theme 4: HII Agenda for Shaping the Social Fabric 
HII will advance a new model of shared life. HII will help people rebuild trust, create shared culture, and steward collective direction across differing perspectives during a time of fragmentation, uncertainty, and social transition. 

Theme 5: HII Agenda for Leading the Great Transition 

HII will advance a new model of leadership for the Great Transition. HII will help develop leaders capable of forming direction, navigating complexity, and guiding transformation when inherited and historical maps, models, and institutions no longer provide sufficient clarity. 

With this agenda, HII is defining what a developed human looks like in the Great Transition operationally. 

The implied human becomes: 

  • technologically agentic  

  • internally adaptive  

  • contribution-oriented  

  • socially coherent  

  • capable of transition leadership 


Frontier of Organizational Advancement 

Theme 1: HII Agenda for Organizational Sensing and Signal Intelligence 

HII will advance a new model of institutional intelligence for the Great Transition. HII will help organizations read the world, interpret change, and act strategically before emerging conditions outpace their ability to respond. 

Theme 2: HII Agenda for Adaptive Structures and Operating Design 

HII will advance a new model of adaptive organizational design. HII will help organizations redesign how authority, teams, processes, and operating systems flex under changing conditions so they can move with greater speed, coherence, and resilience without creating chaos, fragmentation, or loss of strategic direction. 

Theme 3: HII Agenda for Organizational Executive Function 

HII will advance a new model of organizational executive function. HII will help organizations strengthen strategic judgment, distribute decision-making effectively, and maintain leadership alignment amid uncertainty, complexity, and rapid change. 

Theme 4: HII Agenda for Culture, Trust, and Collective Coherence 

HII will advance a new model of organizational alignment. HII will help organizations build trust, strengthen shared meaning, and sustain cultural resilience during periods of disruption, uncertainty, and transformation. 

Theme 5: HII Agenda for Strategic Value Creation 

HII will advance a new model of strategic value creation for the Great Transition. HII will help organizations evolve beyond inherited business and contribution models by redesigning how value is defined, created, coordinated, delivered, and sustained under emerging economic, technological, and societal conditions. 

With this agenda, HII is defining what a developed organization looks like in the Great Transition operationally. 

The implied organization becomes: 

  • institutionally intelligent  

  • structurally adaptive  

  • strategically coherent  

  • culturally aligned  

  • capable of evolving how it creates and sustains value 

Frontier of Systemic Advancement 

Theme 1: HII Agenda for Public and Civic Systems 

HII will advance a new model of public and civic renewal for the Great Transition. HII will help leaders, institutions, and communities renew civic participation, reconfigure governance, restore institutional legitimacy, modernize public stewardship, and strengthen collective capacity to coordinate around shared challenges. 

Theme 2: HII Agenda for Economic and Industry Systems 

HII will advance a new model of economic and industry adaptation. HII will help leaders, institutions, and ecosystems transform industry structures, redefine economic participation, reimagine value creation, reshape incentives and ownership, and build sector resilience under emerging conditions. 

Theme 3: HII Agenda for Social and Societal Systems 

HII will advance a new model of societal coherence for the Great Transition. HII will help leaders, institutions, and communities rebuild social trust, navigate identity and social change, shape shared meaning and cultural direction, and sustain collective understanding amid fragmentation, uncertainty, and accelerating transformation. 

With this agenda, HII is defining what a developed society looks like in the Great Transition operationally. 

The implied society becomes: 

  • civically participatory  

  • institutionally legitimate  

  • economically adaptive  

  • socially coherent  

  • capable of collective coordination and stewardship under changing conditions
